Osaka, Japan, August 20, 2025 (SKNIS): Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, emphasised the Osaka 2025 Expo as a strategic platform for strengthening international partnerships and attracting sustainable investment for Saint Kitts and Nevis.

“What we’re seeing here today is Saint Kitts and Nevis using the invitation provided by Japan to showcase what Saint Kitts and Nevis is all about. What it is that drives the people of our country, what it is that would entice investors to participate in our people and our economic development,” said Dr. Douglas, during a brief interview.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating drug and weapon contraband that were recovered in the Lower Monkey Hill area of St. Peter’s, St. Kitts.

RANDOLPH WELSH CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION

Randolph Welsh of Lower Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s, St. Kitts, has been charged for the offences of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply, and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. The offences were committed on August 13th, 2025, at Lower Monkey Hill.

Mr. Welsh was charged on August 15th, 2025, at the Basseterre Police Station

RECORD NUMBER OF SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS STUDENTS OFF TO STUDY IN TAIWAN

Basseterre, Saint Kitts, August 15, 2025 (SKNIS): A record number of scholarship recipients from Saint Kitts and Nevis will be travelling to the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the coming weeks to pursue university studies. At a ceremony on Friday (August 15, 2025), twenty-five individuals were awarded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) scholarships, while three received the International Cooperation and Development Fund scholarships.
