POLICE INVESTIGATING SEXUAL ASSAULT INCIDENT

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 24, 2019 (RSCNPF): Police are currently investigating a sexual assault incident that occurred in the Basseterre area.

The incident took place sometime after 8 p.m. on March 23, 2019, and involved a female teenager.  Preliminary reports indicate that the assailant was following the young lady. He forced her to a vacant lot of land where he assaulted her.

Ricky Skerritt elected new president of West Indies Cricket

Basseterre, St Kitts, March 24, 2019 – Former St Kitts and Nevis tourism minister Richard “Ricky” Skerritt is the  new president of Cricket West Indies.

Skerritt, 62, defeated the incumbent president Dave Cameron 8-4 at the presidential election on Sunday on his own soil at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel  in Kingston, Jamaica.
Cameron was seeking a fourth term in office after serving three two terms.

While The United Kingdom is due to leave the European Union (EU) in a very short time from now, the technical work for the rollover of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between Caribbean Forum (CARIFORUM) and the United Kingdom post-Brexit has now materialised into a new CARIFORUM -UK Agreement . Today St.Kitts and Nevis is pleased to be a part of this very symbolic occasion in signing the New Trading Agreement ( CARIFORUM – UK ) . The Agreement was signed by the Honorable Lindsay Grant – Minister of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
