Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 16, 2018 (SKNIS): Most Remarkable Teendesignation “is a very eminent achievement comparative to any global achievement attained in any section of the Eastern or Western Hemisphere of the world,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Youth Empowerment, the Honourable Shawn Richards.

“Our Remarkable Teens, tonight, have joined the pantheon of young change-makers and activists who have captured the world’s attention and influenced us with the immense scope of human, scientific and social accomplishments,” he added, while delivering remarks during the eighth annual 25 Most Remarkable Teens (MRTs) Awards Ceremony at a special sitting of Parliament on Thursday, November 15. “You were chosen tonight, not because of your greatness, but because of the simple things you do that make those around you great.”

Church has been playing a special role in the country’s development, says PM Harris

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 19, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Member of Parliament for St. Christopher Seven since November 29, 1993 and Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, is commending the church for the special role it has been playing in the development of the country.

“The church has been playing a special role in the country’s development,” said Dr Harris. “The framers of the Constitution were mindful to include that St. Kitts and Nevis is a Nation under God, to acknowledge His supremacy and to acknowledge that the country could only move forward in Godliness.”

PM’s Legacy Health Walk magnetises largest and most colourful participation ever

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 17, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Celebrations to mark the 25 years of service to Constituency Number Seven and the country by Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris on Saturday November 17 entered a new phase as hundreds of walkers joined him in what was dubbed the Legacy Health Walk.

In the health walk’s eleven-year history, it was the first time the participants wore similar clothing as almost all wore orange T-shirts or polo shirts that had the ‘25 years of service by Dr the Hon Timothy Harris’ celebratory logo. They joined the Prime Minister as they traversed the picturesque constituency starting from Belle Vue and ending at Ottley’s. It was the largest walk in terms of numbers taking part.

On Wednesday, October 03, 2018, at about 8:40 p.m., Police received a report of an explosion at
an apartment building that houses students of the Medical University of the Americas. The
building is situated at Pot Works, Nevis. As a result, the Police responded immediately, along
with the Fire and Rescue Services.
