NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEETS ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 23              Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 17, 2020 (SKNIS): Notice has been given for a sitting of the National Assembly to be held at the National Assembly Chambers, Government Headquarters, Basseterre, on Thursday 23^rd January 2020, at 10:00 am. 

The National Assembly will be carried live on ZIZ Radio (96 FM) and participating radio stations. It can also be viewed live on TV Channel 5 in St. Kitts and Channel 98 in Nevis. It will also be streamed live at www.zizonline.com

ST. KITTS AND NEVIS GOVERNMENT’S STEWARDSHIP YIELDS SIX YEARS OF CONSECUTIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 16, 2020 (SKNIS): The year 2019 saw the St. Kitts and Nevis economy positively expand with projections by the Department of Statistics pointing to a 2.9 percent growth rate. The trend is expected to continue this year with approximately 3.5 percent projected for the period 2020 – 2022.

GOVERNMENT REPURCHASES 400 ACRES OF LAND SOLD UNDER LABOUR’S LAND FOR DEBT SWAP ARRANGEMENT

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 16, 2020 (SKNIS): The Government of National Unity has redeemed a total of 400 acres of land that was sold under the Denzil Douglas Administration’s Land-for-Debt Swap arrangement, said Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris at his monthly press conference at Government Headquarters on January 15.
