SPROUSE CONVICTED AND FINED

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 30, 2019 (RSCNPF): Winston ‘Zaba’ Sprouse of Rosemary Lane was convicted and fined for the offence of  Posting Placards Without Consent on April 29, 2019.

Sprouse was fined ECD$1000.00 to be paid in one month or serve six weeks in prison.

He was arrested and formally charged on September 04, 2018 for posting a number of Placards depicting three Police Officers with words that were menacing in character on lampposts around Basseterre.

THE PEOPLE’S ACTION MOVEMENT SUCCESSFULLY HELD ITS MASSIVE

54TH ANNUAL NATIONAL CONVENTION!

 

(PAM COMS) 29th April 2019 – The People’s Action Movement (PAM) staged yet another successful National Convention under the theme “Winning More, Convention 54!” The 54th Annual Convention was held on April 28th, 2019 at the PAM Headquarters.

The PAM Political Leader, Hon. Shawn Richards, Candidates and the PAM Executive were all elated at the turnout at this year’s Convention. The traditional Convention was not so traditional this year as we saw the event moved from indoor to outdoor and the dress code from semi formal to the Party branded t-shirts and jeans. The rally-style 54th Convention set the mood to transition into high gears in preparation for the upcoming General Elections to ‘Win More’ votes and seats.

POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL WOUNDING IN CONAREE

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 30, 2019 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating an incident in which a women was fatally wounded in the Conaree area. The incident occurred on Monday, April 29, 2019.

Police received a report of a body being found in a house at Conaree at approximately 5:30 p.m. The police responded and found the body of seventy-seven-year-old Constance Thompson-Gumbs lying motionless in the living room of her house with multiple stab wounds in various parts of her body.

PROJECT LAUNCHED TO PRESERVE ST. KITTS AND NEVIS’ INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 29, 2019 (SKNIS): The St. Kitts and Nevis UNESCO Capacity Building Project entitled, “Strengthening Inventory Preparation Capacity for Implementing 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) in St. Kitts and Nevis” was officially launched on April 29 at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in an effort to preserve the Federation’s intangible cultural heritage and safeguard it for future generations.
