BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 30, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – More than one thousand, two hundred (1,200) applications were received under the innovative Hurricane Relief Fund – the temporary investment option introduced in 2017 under St. Kitts and Nevis’ Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme.

 BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, May 30, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Saturday June 2 is the appointed day for the next Peoples Labour Party/Prime Minister’s Health Walk according to PLP’s National Chairman Mr Warren Thompson.

“As usual we are joining our Prime Minister, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, in his monthly health walks that have brought tremendous health benefits to the participants,” said Mr Thompson. “The walk will be held in Constituency Number Seven which our Prime Minister represents in the National Assembly.”

Deputy Leader Marcella Liburd Calls On COP & DPP To Investigate Harris’ Involvement in London Bribery Scandal

As a result of Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris’ refusal to comment directly on the London Bribery Scandal and his relationship with billionaire Peter Virdee, citizens have begun to seek answers elsewhere and are hence calling on local authoritative bodies to investigate the matter.

Speaking on behalf of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, Deputy Leader of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party Hon. Marcella Liburd called on the Commissioner of Police and the Director of Public Prosecution to look into the Prime Minister’s involvement in the bribery scandal as it is an illegal offence.

The Federation continues to suffer disruptions of day to day life by the criminal elements woven into St Kitts-Nevis society whose continued defiance of law and order is a clear indication that the coalition administration has brought the standard of leadership in the country to an all-time low.

The recent revelation of Dr Harris’ implication in the 2018 London Bribery Scandal has been spreading like wildfire since Friday 11th May when the judgement in the case “Hardip Singh aka Peter Virdee v. The National Crime Agency (NCA)” was made public. Following this shocker, the St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party issued an official request for the resignation of Dr Harris so as to avoid the compromisation and further tarnishing of the Office of the Prime Minister. Dr Harris boldly refused and continues to refuse to resign the post despite the potentially disastrous implications his continued occupancy of the Prime Minister’s position will have for the country.

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris recently made a startling declaration to the entire nation that brought St Kitts and Nevis to the realisation that the checks and balances in place to maintain good governance and transparency in public office are no longer functioning.

On Sunday 20th May, in wilful avoidance of making a national address on the matter of his name being embroiled in the London Bribery Scandal 2018, Prime Minister Harris held a town hall meeting in his constituency.
