ST.KITTS-NEVIS GOVERNMENT TO INVESTIGATE 2014 DEALINGS WITH UK PROPERTY TYCOON CURRENTLY EMBROILED IN $43 MILLION FRAUD ALLEGATION

 

The St.Kitts-Nevis Government led by Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris has issued a statement regarding a UK Daily Mail report about UK Property tycoon Peter Singh Virdee. In a News Item published on Sunday May 13th the Daily Mail stated that Virdee has been accused of bribing high-ranking Caribbean politicians.

The  St.Kitts-Nevis Government is expected to launch an investigation into Peter Virdee’s Dealings with the St.Kitts-Nevis Government ,which began in 2014. According to court documents Peter Virdee actively engaged and had dealings with the Antigua and Barbuda Minister of Energy and Prime Minister of St.Kitts. The Minister of Energy in Antigua at that time was Asot Micheal and the Prime Minister was Dr. Denzil Douglas. Virdee was pursuing solar energy contracts for his company PVE  with both governments since 2014.

PERSONS IN CUSTODY ASSISTING WITH INVESTIGATIONS INTO DEATH OF SERGEANT DAVIS

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 13, 2018 (RSCNPF): Three (3) persons are presently in Police custody assisting with investigations into the death of Sergeant Dwight Davis. Two (2) persons were held for questioning on Saturday, May 12, along with one (1) person who was held on Friday, May 11.

STATEMENT ON JAMAICAN FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN ANTIGUA

 

It has been brought to the attention of the Chief Immigration Officer and the Police High Command that a Jamaican national, who was wanted in his country for criminal acts committed there, was arrested in Antigua and Barbuda on Friday, May 11, 2018. We also learned that he was apprehended after disembarking a flight from St. Kitts during a joint operation between the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda and Immigration Officials at the V.C. Bird International Airport, Antigua.

REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY AGENCIES RESPOND TO CALL FOR ASSISTANCE IN SERGEANT DAVIS 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 13, 2018 (RSCNPF): A number of reputable security agencies have answered the call of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) for assistance with solving the case of Sergeant Dwight Davis’s death.

Commissioner of Police Ian Queeley disclosed that, to date, the Force was currently receiving assistance from the United States Department of Homeland Security, the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom, and the Regional Security System which is based in Barbados.
