BREAKING NEWS: Shooting victim identified as Kevin Dyer

SINT MAARTEN/ST. KITTS – Information coming out of St. Kitts has confirmed that the man, who was shot on Monday, August 27, at 11:05pm on Chin Cherry Road in Pointe Blanche, was a St. Maartener, who lived in St. Kitts.

A source in St. Kitts within the family told 721news that his name is Kevin Dyer, born September 27, 1988, living at last known address of Wingfield Road, Old Road.

Dyer was the driver of a water truck company, however, about 2 months ago he stopped working for that company.

Our newsroom contacted well known news website in St. Kitts “Buckie Got It,”  who confirmed to us that some family members of Dyer had arrived in St. Maarten to identify the body.

No official statement from the police has been made as yet, however, as soon an official statement has been released, 721news will update this story.

Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris extends his heartfelt condolences, and those of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis, to the family and loved ones of His Excellency Mr. Cedric Harper.  H.E. Cedric Harper, who served as High Commissioner for St. Kitts and Nevis to Jamaica since 2001, has died at the age of 87 years old.

“Cedric Harper had a distinguished 35-year career as a diplomat who was highly regarded as an endearing and effective representative for St. Kitts and Nevis.  I am honoured to have learned at his feet, particularly when I served as Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2001 and 2008.  With dedication, dignity and diplomatic aplomb, he served his country well,” the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis said yesterday, Wednesday, August 29th, 2018.

Attempted armed robbery gone bad/ one suspect shot dead

The Police Special Unit Robbery is presently investigating what seem to an attempted armed robbery which went wrong leaving one of the suspects dead. The incident took place on Monday August 27th at approximately 11.05 p.m. on Chin cherry road in Point Blanche.
