Rebranding of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party will include four new candidates, says party leader

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 25, 2018 – 2018 is the year for the rebranding of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), which will see four new candidates seeking to serve the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, National Political Leader and Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas said Wednesday.

“This year 2018 will be the year of rebranding of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP). We will continue to challenge the government on behalf of the people, where the Team Unity Government has failed,” said Dr. Douglas.

Tests indicate Labour Department employees with high levels of mold; Amory, Collins slammed

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 25, 2018 – Persons employed in the Department of Labour in St. Kitts have tested positive despite statements by Minister of Labour Hon. Vance Amory that the building is mold-free.

Labour Party caretaker for St. Christopher 8, Dr. Terrance Drew accused Amory and his Permanent Secretary, Ron Collins, of “committing serious atrocities with the health of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.”

Parliamentary Representative for West Basseterre, Hon. Konris Maynard said at least three employees have been tested and the results indicate their bodies high levels of mold.

MRS LIBURD GOOFED IN TRYING TO DEFEND DOUGLAS STUPIDITY

As I read a commentary by Mrs Willa Franks Liburd, I suddenly became alarmed as I wondered where Mrs Liburd was over the last seven years. Mrs Liburd, must have been dreaming and suddenly woken up, hasn’t she? Let me familiarize her on our parliamentary proceedings.

All parliament members in the past have always complied with the rules of the Speaker whether or not they are in agreement with it. Dr. Douglas was the only one who would have told the speaker, “well we gonna have to talk about this privately”. If a member doesn’t like what the Speaker has said then he/she should move on especially when the speaker asks him/her to move on. It is like in any sport, once the umpire or referee makes a decision the players must accept the ruling or decision and anything outside of that is considered as showing dissent and carries a monetary fine or suspension.
