Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 26th 2017 – Supervisor of Elections, Elvin Bailey has been accused of illegally removing the names of Nigerian students, other Commonwealth citizens and nationals from the St. Kitts and Nevis Voters List in defiance of a high court ruling.

PM Timothy Harris sells lands under food cultivation by local farmer to foreigners

`Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 26th 2017 – Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris has gone back on an election campaign and manifesto promise not to sell lands under the Land for Debt initiative to foreigners.

Chairman of the opposition St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Hon Marcella Liburd made the disclosure during Wednesday’s “Issues” programme on Freedom 106.5 FM and Kyss 102.5 FM.

GOVERNMENT SEEKS LEGAL ADVICE AS INVESTIGATION REVEALS OPPOSITION LEADER HOLDS DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT OF DOMINICA

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, October 25, 2017 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Further investigations into the Dr. Denzil Douglas passport matter by the Team Unity-led Administration have found that the former prime minister, now Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, is indeed a holder of a diplomatic passport issued by the Commonwealth of Dominica on July 30th, 2015, bearing the number DP0000462.

That diplomatic passport also lists Dr. Douglas’ nationality as Dominican.

Decline of exports to the US creates more hardship for manufacturing workers says Douglas

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 24th 2017 – With the export of goods and services to the United States on the decline, St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded its worst drop for the months of July and August this year.

The decline in July was the worst in six years while in August it was the lowest in 11 years.

Former Prime Minister and current Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas said Tuesday, when his St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party took office in 1995, the value of exports of goods and services was recorded at US$23.3 million (EC$62.9 million).
