Over 100 persons evacuated from Dominica by Barbados Coast Guard

 The Barbados Coast Guard has evacuated over 100 persons from Dominica to date, and it is anticipated that its disaster relief operations would continue into November 2017.

Category Five Hurricane Maria passed directly over Dominica on September 18, causing widespread devastation.

This disclosure has come from the Barbados Defence Force’s (BDF) Public Relations Officer, Captain Maria Moore, who said the Barbados Coast Guard vessels were continuing to transport disaster response personnel and relief supplies to Dominica.

 The Rastafarian community was well represented during the Regional Marijuana Commission.

There was a resounding amount of support for the legalization and decriminalization of marijuana during a town hall meeting of the CARICOM Regional Marijuana Commission on Wednesday night.

Hugh Hefner, the iconic founder of Playboy magazine, has died aged 91, Playboy Enterprises has said.

Playboy Magazine was founded by Hefner more than 60 years ago as an upscale men’s magazine that featured nude images of famous women, as well as emerging models, actresses and singers.

ST.KITTS-NEVIS SENDS CONTINGENT TO DOMINICA AS PART OF REGIONAL SECURITY SYSTEM MISSION

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 26, 2017 (SKNIS): A six-member team from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) left the Federation on September 26 for Dominica to assist with ensuring safety and security for its citizens and residents. The team is being led by Corporal Ray Farrell and also includes Constables Jerry Clarke, Shane Christmas, Chad Cuffy, Lowell Wallace and Antonio Browne.
