 ALLEGATIONS OF PLANNED INCIDENT AT CHARLES E. MILLS SECONDARY SCHOOL

On February 14th, 2025, between 3AM and 4AM, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis
Police Force (RSCNPF) was alerted to a social media post containing allegations of a
criminal incident planned for today at the Charles E. Mills Secondary School (CEMSS) on
St. Kitts.

In response to this serious matter, our officers were deployed to the school to conduct
thorough searches and ensure the safety of all students and staff. As a precautionary
measure, CEMSS has been closed for the day to facilitate our ongoing investigation and
to ensure the wellbeing of the community. We are working diligently to thoroughly
assess the situation and updates will be provided as new information becomes available.

The public can rest assured that we are treating these allegations with the highest level
of seriousness and urgency. The safety of our students and community is our top
priority. We encourage anyone with additional information regarding this matter to
contact the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241, or the Sandy Point Police Station at
465-6261.

CFBC COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY TO BE PRECEDED BY TRADITIONAL ACADEMIC PROCESSION ON FEBRUARY 25

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 11th February 2025 (CFBC): The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) Board of Governors, along with faculty, staff, students, government officials, dignitaries, and parents and guardians, are expected to gather to celebrate the Class of 2024 at the 36th CFBC Commencement Ceremony. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 25th February 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at the Pro Cathedral of St. George with St. Barnabas (formerly St. George’s Anglican Church). The ceremony will be held under the patronage of Her Excellency Dame Marcella Liburd GCMG, JP, Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis. This year’s theme is “The CFBC: Cultivating Excellence for a Sustainable Future.” Attendees are requested to be seated by 4:00 p.m.
