Noting that more people die from cancer when compared to COVID-19, President and Founder of Faces of Cancer, Miss Dorothy Philip believes cancer should be considered a pandemic.

“It’s true COVID is killing people, but cancer kills over 270 people in Saint Lucia alone every year,” Miss Phillip declared.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs today Sunday, October 24, 2021 confirms a total of fifteen new cases of COVID-19.

These cases were processed on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 273 samples which were collected between October 22 and October 23, 2021.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs today Friday, October 22, 2021, confirms a total of 54 new cases of COVID-19.

These cases were processed on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 272 samples which were collected between October 20 and October 21, 2021. This number of positive cases makes up 19.8% of all the samples processed on that date. These new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in-country to date to 12,385.

Cannabis seized at airport costs more than $700,000

Over 120 pounds of Cannabis were seized by at the VC Bird International airport over the weekend.
Several vacuum sealed packages with the controlled substance were found among two separate shipments on the airport’s cargo shed on Friday.

3K more complete COVID-19 vaccination, 7 new Delta cases recorded

Some 3,270 more people will soon be considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19, having completed their vaccination programme.

The Ministry of Health in its clinical update today noted that 546,532 people have now completed their vaccination regime, of either a two-dose or single dose vaccine, while 596,696 people were partially vaccinated.
