Marchers Highlight Social Ills; Condemns Corruption, Nepotism, Crime and Victimisation in St. Kitts and Nevis

Members of the workforce in St Kitts and Nevis used this year’s Labour Day March to highlight a number of issues plaguing the Federation.

Close to 7000 persons took to the streets of Basseterre on May 7th, with majority of them wielding placards bearing poignant messages aimed at those in the high ranks of government.

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party has officially revealed their first of four new candidates that will contest the next General Elections in the Federation.

At Sunday’s public meeting, (May 6th) in New Town, Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Rt. Hon. Dr Denzil Douglas disclosed that Dr Hanley will assume the position of caretaker of Constituency number one from previous long-standing Labour representative, Dr Earle Asim Martin.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 8, 2018 – Placard-bearing workers and supporters of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Movement condemned widespread victimisation, rampant corruption and gross nepotism within the Timothy Harris-led Team Unity Government on Monday.
