SUGAR BOYZ IN MIAMI PREPARING FOR CONCACAF GOLD CUP QUALIFIERS
The Senior Men’s National team is in Miami preparing for their participation in the Concacaf
Gold Cup Preliminary round, when they will face Curacao in the first match on the 16 th of June
in Fort Lauderdale. St. Kitts and Nevis finished top of the table in Group B, League C of the
Concacaf Nations League, and by virtue has qualified for this crucial stage of Gold Cup
qualification. If the Sugar Boyz defeat Curacao, they will face either French Guiana or Dutch St.
Maarten in the next match to qualify for the Gold Cup.

Newtown United ladies dispatched Nagico Cayon Rockets 3-0 in the 2023 Elvis Star Browne
Women’s League match at the SKNFA Technical Center in St. Peters on Thursday. Katelyn
Forbes scored two goals in the 4 th and 84 th minute and Christi-Anne Mills scored in the 58 th min.
Coach of Newtown Shashi Isaac, said while there are some things to work on, he is pleased with
the win. “We still have some work (to do). (They) were losing shape; getting out of position, but
we stuck it out, got the goals…we still have more to improve on,” he said.
