Development Bank playing critical role in the growth of cricket in Nevis

Charlestown, Nevis, June 14, 2018 (DBSKN) — The small island of Nevis in the Leeward Islands, which is one of the two islands that make the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, made history in 1972 when it became the first island in the chain to put a cricket player on the Senior West Indies Team. The then 19-year-old Elquemedo Willett was one of the players picked to play against Australia.

LeBron James got less than half of his $33 million salary this season — here’s what happened to the rest

By now we know that most athletes’ contracts aren’t what they seem.

Though the numbers in the contracts are enormous, after federal, state, and local taxes, plus fees for agents and other costs, athletes usually ending up taking home close to half of their base salary.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell broke down what LeBron James, the second-highest-paid player in the NBA this season, made from his $33 million contract. While it’s still quite a big number, based on Rovell’s estimate, it’s less than half of that figure.
