Magistrate Donna Harris was correct when she changed the charges of a criminal case before her over the objections of a prosecutor, a disagreement that led to the prosecutor being ejected and a stand-off with the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), said noted Queen’s Counsel Dr. Henry Browne.

Prime Minister Harris leads CARICOM delegation to Montevideo for discussions with Mexico and Uruguay on Venezuela.  The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis (pictured at centre) is surrounded by the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley (pictured right of him) and Uruguay’s Foreign Minister, Rodolfo Nin Novoa (pictured left of him).  This afternoon, the Uruguayan Foreign Minister hosted the CARICOM and Mexico delegations at a welcome luncheon ahead of tomorrow’s international conference in Montevideo.

TO TAKE PLACE TOMORROW, THURSDAY IN MONTEVIDEO

The Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) – Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis – and members of his delegation touched down early Wednesday morning in Montevideo, Uruguay, where a CARICOM-Mexico-Uruguay-led conference on the situation in Venezuela is set to take place tomorrow, Thursday, February 7th.

This afternoon, the Uruguayan Foreign Minister, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, hosted the CARICOM and Mexico delegations at a welcome luncheon ahead of tomorrow’s international conference in Montevideo.
