Yesterday, November 15th the High Commissioner of Cyprus and the Director General of the Commonwealth Foundation in London came together with the St. Kitts and Nevis High Commission to launch “Chasing Footsteps”, the fourth collection of poems by High Commissioner of St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Dr Kevin M. Isaac.  Chasing Footsteps is as complex, compelling and intriguing as his others works and uses verbal photography to take readers on a journey of discovery, love and renewal.

STEP EMPLOYEES UNDERGO SOFT SKILLS TRAINING IN CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, November 15, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Employees under the Skills Training Empowerment Programme (STEP), attached to the Bird Rock, Needsmust, Conaree and National Heroes Park units, took part in a one-day Soft Skills Training Programme, with a special focus on conflict management.

Soft skills refer to the traits and interpersonal skills that characterize one’s relationships with others.

The training programme was held today (Thursday, November 15) at the Conaree Community Centre. The sessions were conducted by International Social Skills Consultant and Crime Reduction Specialist, Dr. Neals Chitan and Former Director of Gender Affairs, Mrs. Ingrid Charles-Gumbs.

CONGRATULATIONS POUR IN FOR PRIME MINISTER HARRIS ON HIS 25TH ANNIVERSARY AS A PARLIAMENTARIAN

 

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, November 15, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis, living at home and abroad, phoned in to the “Frank and Candid” programme on ZIZ Radio today (Thursday, November 15) to congratulate Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, who is this month celebrating 25 years of service to the people as a Parliamentarian.

Prime Minister Harris first contested elections on November 29, 1993, at which point he successfully became the people’s representative for Constituency #7 (Belle Vue to Ottley’s Village). In the next five general elections, Dr. Harris was handsomely re-elected as the Parliamentary Representative.
