St.Kitts-Nevis Tops the Caribbean  on World Rule of Law Index

St.Kitts-Nevis tops the Caribbean  on the World Justice Project (WJP) Rule of Law Index, which looks at governance in 113 countries. The 2017-2018 report was released at the end of January with the previous one being released in 2016. This year’s report sees the twin-island state moving up 2 places from it’s previous ranking in 2016 and coming in at 28 overall and #1 in The Caribbean region. The other top Caribbean countries are  Barbados at 30, and St. Lucia at 33, Antigua and 34,  Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines are ranked at 36 and 37 respectively, while the Bahamas gets a global ranking of 40 and Dominica, 41.

ST.KITTS-NEVIS IS CARIBBEAN’S LEAST CORRUPT COUNTRY SAYS GLOBAL STUDY

Basseterre, St.Kitts (February 7th , 2018) A new global study has concluded that St.Kitts-Nevis  enjoy the Caribbean’s best and fairest rule of law and is the least corrupt Caribbean country in the world .
According to the Rule of Law Index 2017-18 released by the World Justice Project (WJP), St.Kitts-Nevis topped the Caribbean as the least corrupt country with a #1 Ranking in the area of absence of corruption . The federation ranked #25 in the world.

Women’s group urges victims to come forward

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 7, 2018 – A group calling itself the Concerned Women of St. Kitts and Nevis has called on persons who have been the victims of sexual assault in the Chambers of the Attorney General to come forward with evidence.
Although Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris called the allegations of sexual assault in the Attorney General’s Chambers as “wild and outrageous” he called on Attorney General, the Hon. Vincent Byron Jr. to defend himself.
