MAJOR J. ANTHONY COMRIE TO TAKE THE HELM OF THE ST. KITTS-NEVIS DEFENCE FORCE IN MARCH

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 02, 2018 (SKNIS): Head of the St. Kitts and Nevis Coast Guard Unit, Major J. Anthony Comrie, has been tapped to take command of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF).

Comrie’s promotion will become effective on March 01, 2018, following the announced retirement of Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Wallace at the end of this month. The imminent changes were reported by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, at his monthly press conference on Thursday (February 01).

SOLDIER CHARGED FOR POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION
Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 01, 2018 (RSCNPF): Shultz Gift of Sandy Point was, this week, formally charged on two (2) counts of Possession of Ammunition. Gift is a Lance Corporal with the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF). He was one of two persons who were taken into police custody in relation to ammunition found during a joint operation between the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the SKNDF. The second person was discharged.

Basseterre, St. Kitts February 02, 2017 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period January 12–19, 2018.
Arrested: Chad Deposoir of Boyds Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for items used in the commission of a crime. A number of items of interest were taken into police custody for investigation purposes.
Arrested: Keith Oneil Braid alias Nile Antonio Christopher, a native of St. Christopher and Nevis who resided in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A., was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a Provisional Warrant of Apprehension for two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder in the state of Florida, U.S.A.
