National Carnival Queen 2016-2017 Katherina Davis was not present on the stage during the opening ceremony of Sugar Mass 46.
“About last night “National Carnival Queen 2016-2017 Katherina Davis” posted on social media via her Facebook page.
When you know your the National Carnival Queen 2016-2017 and its natural for you to enjoy the Launch of Carnival. I was asked by many ” Kathy why were you not on stage and what about the other crowns?” Please observe the 2nd consecutive year the Queen was not invited to the Launch of Carnival.
I will forever enjoy life and grow as an individual. My thoughts for any young ladies contemplating entering this particular pageant – have goals in life, aspire to be the best you! At the end of the day when they go low you will absolutely soar high.
The Crown holders, participants, chaperones and our sponors should always be respected. After all, without us there will never be pageants and other various shows that give an individual the position they creatively abuse.
This is our way of keeping part of our Carnival Culture alive”.
