NIA extends four-month amnesty for illegal non-nationals

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) has given non-nationals residing illegally on Nevis another opportunity to regularise their immigration status with a four-day extension.

The amnesty, first announced Nov. 23, 2017, officially concluded March 31. However, the Honourable Mark Brantley, premier of Nevis and minister of finance, announced at his monthly press conference March 29 that the period would be extended to April 6 considering the Easter holiday.

SKN 2018 Carifta Team returned home 

Yesterday afternoon 3rd April, was indeed an extremely proud moment for the Federation as we welcomed back home the SKN 2018 Carifta Team.

Pictured below is myself along with 14 year old Trishanni Warner who won gold in the under 17 females. Her elated mom, Melissa Warner, who exclaimed that she feels like gold, was also on hand to bid her welcome and congratulations.

Trishanni hails from the Sandy Point Community and is a student at Sandy Point High/CEMSS.
