Labour Party expresses sympathy on death of Telca Francis
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 23RD 2017 – With the recent passing of local businesswoman, Mrs. Sybil Telca Francis, St. Kitts and Nevis, her family and friends, have lost not only an individual who have contributed immensely to the development of the twin island Federation, but also a tower of strength and a light of the community.
In a statement on her death, the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party expressed “sincerest and most profound condolences to the dearest husband Ben, her faithful and supportive son Reggie, grandson, Khalid, family, friends, sisters and brothers in the faith and the entire St. Kitts-Nevis community.”
“Telca touched the lives of so many people across this nation through her professional life, her dedicated service to God and her giving to so many worthwhile causes,” the SKNLP statement said.
It added that Mrs. Francis was also “a warm-hearted and amiable person friend to almost everyone with whom she came into contact. She gave of her time, her resources and her talent and served her true and living God at the Moravian Church. She was a devoted wife of 51 years – an example to so many people in our country.”
“Our Federation has lost not only a good soul, but a tower of strength and a light of our community. We will miss her dearly and pray for God’s continued protection and comforting of those who have been left to continue with this immense loss. Good bye Telca Francis. You have run a good race and fought a good fight. God has called you home to Glory. So smile on because we hope to meet you there someday,” said the SKNLP statement.
