Sylvers unleash terror on Champions Lodge in Constituency Seven Domino league
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, August 24, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Champions Lodge Domino Club suffered a second defeat, on Thursday August 23, in this year’s edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition at the hands of Sylvers Domino Club.
What is unsettling for the defending champions, who lost to Beers Domino Club exactly a week earlier on Thursday August 16, is that both the losses have been at their home base – the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project. While Beers had merely squeezed a narrow 13-12 win over the champions, Sylvers on Thursday August 23 beat them squarely – 13-9.
The domino league, which is sponsored by Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, is recording surprise results after newcomers Phillips Domino Club demolished two seasoned clubs back to back. On Tuesday August 21 they (Phillips) beat Molineux 13-7 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in Molineux, and extended the winning streak on Thursday August 23 when they beat Giants 13-9 at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project.
In other results on Thursday August 23, Christchurch had a walkover 13-0 win over Tabernacle; Unity beat visiting Saddlers 13-10 at Cuban Bar in Lodge Project; visiting Parsons (from Constituency Number Six) beat Molineux 13-11 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in Molineux; Unstoppable beat Beers 13-4 also at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in Molineux; and Guinness beat visiting Small Corner Bar 13-5 at Bernette Bar in Hidden Alley, Lodge Village.
Other results from games played on Tuesday August 21, Saddlers beat visiting Giants 13-4 at Saddlers Kittie Bar; Unity had a walkover 13-0 win over Tabernacle; visiting Lodge beat Christchurch 13-9 at Domino House in Mansion; visiting Sylvers beat Beers 13-9 at Bernette Bar in Hidden Alley, Lodge Village; visiting Small Corner Bar beat Parson 13-12 at Bradshaw Bar in Parsons; and Guinness beat visiting Unstoppable 13-12 at Bernette Bar.
The 12th segment in the first round of the 23rd edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League will be played on Tuesday August 28 at five venues. Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in Molineux will host two games, Unstoppable vs. Unity, and Molineux vs. Small Corner Bar; Phillips will meet Sylvers at Domino House in Mansion; Parsons will be at home to Christchurch at Bradshaw Bar in Parsons; Giants will face Lodge at the Lodge Community Centre; and Saddlers will host Beers at Kittie Bar in Saddlers.
