Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris congratulated the company for this significant achievement.
“I want to say a special thanks for the invitation but most importantly to give back a million thanks and more to the Brewery for the contribution that it has made over several generations in St. Kitts and Nevis,” said Prime Minister Harris.
He said that the week of December 09 – 14 has been a week of “many histories being made.”
“Certainly, when the historian writes about modern St. Kitts and Nevis, they will record the year in which we received the millionth cruise visitor thanks to the hard work of Minister Grant and the week in which we received and made history in receiving the largest cruise vessel in St. Kitts in the Symphony of the Seas,” he said.
He highlighted that on a day (December 14) when the third double salary has been paid back to back by the Team Unity Administration, the Carib Brewery (St. Kitts and Nevis Ltd) incidentally made history.
“My heartiest congratulations because manufacturing is critically important. It is a team effort that made it happen, so I want to congratulate this teamwork. We pledge as a government to do all we can within the ambit of reasonableness to assist you in your forward thrust,” the prime minister said.
Minister of International Trade, Commerce and Industry, the Honourable Lindsay Grant, added his congratulations and commended the company for its well-organised and well-developed staff, who has supported the Brewery over its lifetime.
