Mr. Mahesh Nariani, Director- Sun Island Clothes, has been associated with Explorers Clubs since the first club was formed by Police Inspector Rosemarie Isles Joseph in June 2017. Mr. Nariani was therefore quite pleased that earlier today, Wednesday, 21 October 2020, speaking on behalf of Sun Island Clothes Ltd and its affiliated business establishments, including its two outlets in Basseterre, three Drug Stores, and Chincillas Restaurant, he was able to formally establish a relationship with Explorers Clubs.
Explorers Clubs is a Police-led organization that seeks to educate, empower and enable children and teenagers through thoughtful, varied, robust, exciting and engaging activities. The Management of Sun Island and its subsidiaries believe that the Explorers programme has great potential for improving discipline among children, decreasing delinquency among youth in our communities, improving Police relations with youth and their communities, generally, and improving parents relationships with youth.
Sun Island and its subsudiaries are therefore pleased to form this partnership with the Community Policing Team and Explorers Clubs. Through this partnership children and/or their parents who purchase items from any of these businesses, and who are wearing or present Explorers Picture IDs, will benefit from discounts on their purchases. Sun Island Clothes will continue to make other donations to Explorers Clubs in order to assist in the Explorers programming.
Sun Island and its subsidiaries encourage parents with children ages 4-17 years old to join an Explorers Club and take advantage of the discounts that will be available on purchases when Explorers IDs are presented.
