Minister of Sports, the Hon. Jonel Powell and I along with Permanent Secretaries Syder and Morton joined athletes at the youth, junior and senior level for the 10mile relay run.
The race commenced in Sandy Point and ended at the historic Warner Park. Each athlete was asked to run 1mile each before passing the baton to his/her teammate.
This event was part and parcel of the Ministry of Tourism month of activities.
Kudos to the Tawaianese Embassy for jointly sponsoring the event which was dubbed a huge success.
A special thanks to the Ministry of Sports for its technical support.
Congratulations to The Extreme Velocity Track Club, the overall winner. They received $1000 for their efforts.
