The St. Kitts National Domino Association/Pink Boss Production Super 4 Domino Tournament commenced on 2nd June 2024. The tournament is a unique competition that pits the top 4 teams from a nationally recognized tournament against each other in a 4 game boot camp type of environment. Hence, the top four teams from the Carib Brewery tournament were selected, based on their positions in that tournament which were:
1st – Pink Boss Production
2nd – Masters of the Art
3rd – Fire Kings
4th – Patriots
The first round of matchups saw Pink Boss Production versus Patriots and Masters of the Art versus Fire Kings. For the first time in a known competition, a Power Play was introduced which is where no substitutions can be made for the first three games on each table. At the end of the Power Play, the scores were 4 games to 3 in favour of the Patriots and 8 games to nil in favour of Fire Kings.
The final scores were Pink Boss Production 13 and Patriots 7, as Pink Boss stormed back and took over the game.
In the other game Fire Kings easily beat Masters 13 Games to 4.
The tournament which will be the first four Sundays in the month of June continues on 9th June with Pink Boss Production taking on fire Kings and Masters of the Art playing against Patriots. During the first round of games on Sunday, patrons and players were eligible to win various prizes during the halftime activities. Chances to win prizes during the halftime activities will continue throughout the tournament.
Yesterday’s games took place at the Newtown Community Center where all games will be played. See you next Sunday.
