ST.KITTS’ BOSS LADY WENDY ISAAC STAGES EPIC FASHION EVENT IN NYC

Saturday April 15th the Watson Hotel became the scene of what is being described as a Legendary BOSS Fashion event . As one Fashion commentator described the night was what legends are made of… it was fantastic as the Boss Lady Wendy Isaac set the NYC Fashion World on FIRE…..

First as you walked in, the place was TRANSFORMED, you thought you walked into a beautiful countryside castle with chalk white arches and a silver white runway. The tables were laced with beautiful white table clothes along with the chairs of the Boss Lady signature colors, Black and Gold. The VIP attendees had their names on their seats and were escorted to their chairs by professional fashion assistants. Standing tall and elegant was the most anticipated guest of the evening THE BOSS LADY FRAGRANCE. Placed atop of a up lit podium, full blaze for all to see, it had arrived.

Vendors scurried to get their tables ready as guest after guest flowed into the room and filled it to capacity. Celebrities filtered in rushing to the step and repeat to get a picture with the lady of the evening, Boss Lady Wendy Isaac. Some of the Celebrities in attendance were Kenya Smith – Editor-at-Large for Fashion Avenue News, Allison V. Brown, Andrene Williams and the UBM Models, Just Raymona (Sling a Pump), SuperModel Avadora Mimouni, Designers Gioffre, Celebrity MUA Carley Worlet, Donna Michelle of Donna Michelle Fashion Magazine, Ese of Enspire Magazine, Corey Rogers, Supermodels Gio, Chanel, Kareem, and Fred – graced the runway (these are the names I can remember, there were plenty of celebrities at the event). Numerous photographers, bloggers and media filled the pit….. we were ready for action.

Most people are not used to a fashion show starting on time, but in the legendary words of Mr. Joe Clarke of RunwayNews…. “You going to learn today”. The event started exactly at 6:30pm as scheduled. The event was live streamed by RunwayNews.

Quinton Bailey was the host of the event, and did a nice job of grabbing the audience attention.

What a grand opening as the Boss Lady herself took to the stage, surrounded by the most handsome, well-built Supermodels in the fashion industry, she welcomed her guest, press, media, family and friends to what was going to be an evening you would never forget. She even threw in a little humor as she had the Fashion Police arrest two fashion legends and bring them to the stage to recieve the Le Coiffeur awards. Joe Clarke of RunwayNews and Sofia Davis of Fashion Avenue News, were honored and surprised to receive the awards.

Fabulous after fabulous designers graced the runway, some from as far away as Haiti all the way to the Bronx, each one as beautiful at the last and each with their own creativity and inspiration. The model were on point and professional along with the great hair and make up teams that worked the backstage. With so much fabulousity we could have watched the show forever.

The highlight of the evening was the star studded Boss Lady Resort Wear collection, entitled TROUBLE. Embellished with Gold Spikes, Swarovski Crystals and beautiful flowing fabrics, she also showed crystal/spike covered shoes, completing the outfit. The look was accessorized with Haute Couture Bling Sunglasses by Sofia Davis. The Boss Lady received a standing ovation for her creative works.

Closing out the evening, the Boss Lady took to the stage joined by her other half, her husband, Shaquon Joseph and gave a heartfelt thank you to all that attended and supported this sold out event.

Trini soca star rushed to local ER after being lashed across face outside Palm Court

Popular Trinidadian soca star, Benjai, is nursing serious injuries to his face after he was attacked outside the Palm Court nightspot in Georgetown early Sunday morning by one of the club’s regular patrons.

According to eyewitnesses, Benjai had already wrapped up his headlining performance at a Pulse Entertainment soca themed party and was leaving the nightspot when the incident occurred.

The soca star, known for hits like “Wine to the Side” and “Phenomenal”, was outside the club chatting with a group of fans when the driver of a car was about to reverse into them.

Reports state that one of the persons in the group with Benjai knocked on the trunk of the car to alert the driver that he was coming too close to them and that was when all hell broke loose.

The driver of the car, identified, only as “Imran” reportedly jumped out of the car and confronted the singer over someone knocking on his car. When the singer attempted to bring calm to the situation, the young man reportedly started to hurl expletives at the singer while threatening to use his firearm.

An eyewitness said it was at that stage that another man, who is a close associate of “Imran” whipped out a bottle and lashed the singer straight across the face.

The soca artiste fell to the ground as blood gushed from the injuries. He was hurried to the emergency room of a private hospital, where doctors administered treatment. The lash to his face resulted in him sustaining two large deep cuts. One close to the ear and the other along the area of his jaw bone. Over 20 stitches had to be done to the injuries.

The incident resulted in the singer being forced to change his flight plans out of Guyana. He has since however, left the country and reportedly filed a police report before doing so.

REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April13, 2017, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period April 11-12, 2017.

ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Lennon Caines of Old Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on four warrants in the first instance for the offence of obtaining money by false pretences. The offences were committed between 19th December 2016 and 15th March 2017 where $17,000 XCD was obtained from the Government of the Federation under false pretences.

OTHER ACTIVITY:
Abandoned Properties Search: Police continues to execute searches of abandoned properties; most recent searches were done in the following area: Bird Rock and Herbert Street (Newtown). The Searches were executed for illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs, and instruments that can be used in criminal activity.

Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A petrol of officers reported that they discovered, uprooted and seized, one hundred and sixty six (166) marijuana plants ranging from one foot to three feet in height from the ghaut area at lower Monkey Hill.

Building Breaking and Larceny: Police responded to a report of a building breaking and larceny at at Miss Harvey’s Shop located at Central Street, Basseterre. The V/C reported that she secured the business on April 10, at about 7.45pm. Upon return on April 11 at about 6.50am, it was discovered that the building was broken into and a number of items were missing. The scene was processed investigations are on-going.

Traffic Accidents: The Police is investigating three (3) traffic accidents that occurred during the period of this report.

Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct Vehicle Check Points, and Stop and Searches along the island main road on St. Kitts and Nevis. Officers continue to conduct searches of abandoned properties and lots. The execution of search warrants continue as well. These activities are being conducted in support of anti-crime objectives to remove illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.

TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR FUNERAL PROCESSION OF THE LATE SIR CUTHBERT SEBASTIAN ON MONDAY 10TH APRIL.

The following is the traffic arrangements for the funeral procession of the late Sir Cuthbert Sebastian on Monday 10th April 2017:

1. The body will leave Liamigua Funeral Home to Government House through JNF Hospital compound, at 07:57.

2. Procession will exit the eastern gate and proceed down to Cayon Street on Virgil Newton Street.

3. At 1:10 pm the procession will leave Government House to the St. Georges Anglican Church, via the following route: i. Cayon Street ii. Church Street iii. Left on Central Street iv. Up Fort Street v. Left on Cayon Street, pausing temporarily at the former residence.

4. No parking will be permitted on Cayon Street between Fort Street and College St. from 6:00am on April 10th. This area will be reserved for funeral use only.

5. Traffic will flow westwards only along Springfield road during the time the body is lying in state at Government House. (8:00 am – 1:30 pm).

6. The portion of Cayon St. between Fort St. and College St will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1:00 pm. As the portion of Virgil Newton Street south of the Hospital’s exit is one way, vehicular traffic entering Virgil Newton Street from Cayon Street will be temporarily restricted half an hour before the arrival of the procession. Similarly, the portion of Central Street between Fort Street and Church Street is one way, therefore that portion will also be closed half an hour before the arrival of the procession, to facilitate smooth passage.

The cooperation of the motoring public is solicited.
