AS A SMALL ISLAND STATE, ST. KITTS AND NEVIS PUNCHES WAY ABOVE ITS WEIGHT, DECLARES THE PRINCE OF WALES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 22, 2019 (SKNIS): As a small island developing state, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has impressed His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales dating back to his visit 46 years ago to his current visit on March 21, 2019, where he was accompanied by his wife Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall.

“I have been particularly struck by the eminent strength of your society,” His Royal Highness said, while highlighting the warm welcome he received from Kittitians and Nevis in 1973 when he first visited as a member of the Royal Navy to his present visit.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 22, 2019 (SKNIS):  St. Kitts and Nevis joins the international community to commemorate World Water Day 2019, which is celebrated on March 22 every year, as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of such a vital resource.

This year’s celebrations is observed under the theme “Leaving No one Behind”.Minister of Public Infrastructure, the Honourable Ian ‘Patches’ Liburd, reflected on the theme, noting that
“some themes provoke our thoughts in different ways”.

THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES LEAVE ST. KITTS AND NEVIS IMPRESSED WITH THE SOCIETY AND LEADERSHIP OF THE GOVERNMENT
Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 21, 2019 (SKNIS): The March 21, 2019, visit of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall to St. Kitts and Nevis climaxed with a reception at Government House in St. Kitts where the Prince of Wales applauded the local Government for its leadership on many issues in the international arena.

The reception was hosted by Governor General His Excellency Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP. and was attended by scores of specially invited guests. Among them were members of the Federal Parliament, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, notable members of civil society and other dignitaries. Their Royal Highnesses also interacted with locals who received various honours and awards from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
