BRIMSTONE HILL FORTRESS NATIONAL PARK SOCIETY INTRODUCES
“THE CHANGING OF THE GUARD”
Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2019 (SKNIS): In an effort to enhance the visitor experience, the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society introduced “The Changing of the Guard” on March 17, which will be a daily feature where soldiers dressed in the 4th West India Regiment uniform will stand guard at the fortress. The guard will be changed hourly.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO UNDERTAKE PROPERTY CONDITION SURVEY AHEAD OF MAJOR ROAD PROJECT

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2019 (SKNIS): On March 14, 2019, nine local contractors officially signed contracts to commence Phase 2 of the Island Main Road Rehabilitation Project in St. Kitts. However, before any of the heavy work begins, the Public Works Department (PWD) will undertake a Property Condition Survey.

MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS RETRAINED TO BETTER ASSESS PERFORMANCE


Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2019 (RSCNPF):
 As part of its commitment to continuously enhance its internal operations, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is retraining members of staff in the use of the Performance Development Review (PDR) Appraisal Instrument.

Force Personnel Officer, Clifford Govia, and Director of the Bramshill Policing Advisors, Steve France-Sargeant, have been discussing how the PDR process can be improved during special consultations. Sessions were held in each district with Gazetted Officers (managers) and supervisors, also referred to as Subordinate Police Officers (SPOs). The final consultation was held on Friday, March 15, in District “A”, while Districts “B” and “C” were done earlier.
