PRIMARY SCHOOL QUIZ HIGHLIGHTS WORLD CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY
Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2019 (SKNIS): Four primary schools went head-to-head on March 15 to compete in the 4th annual Charleton Edwards Memorial Consumer Affairs Primary School Quiz Finals at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in observance of World Consumer Rights Day, which is celebrated annually on March 15.

Cayon Primary won the competition. Second place went to Beach Allen Primary, while Immaculate Conception Catholic School and St. Pauls Primary came third and fourth respectively.

Minister responsible for the Department of Consumer Affairs, Honourable Lindsay Grant, was present to distribute prizes.

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, March 17, 2019 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The twin island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis today stands in a much better position socially and economically, thanks largely in part to the Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris-led Team Unity administration’s mandate of putting people first.

Much of the successes of the tripartite coalition government were outlined on Saturday (March 16) by the various presenters who addressed the public session of the 2019 People’s Labour Party’s (PLP) third annual National Convention, held at the Patsy Allers Playing Field.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2019 (SKNIS): His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, who began a tour on March 17 of several Caribbean islands accompanied by his wife Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, will return after his visit some 46 years ago to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of historical, cultural and architectural significance: a monument to the ingenuity of the British military engineers who designed it and to the skill, strength and endurance of the African slaves who built and maintained it. It is one of the best-preserved fortifications in the Americas.
