PAST AND PRESENT CUSTOMS OFFICERS RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR DEDICATION TO SERVICE

 

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, October 29, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – As it observes its 60th anniversary of serving the Federation, the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department took time out to duly recognize the dedication and commitment of seventeen (17) current and past officers, whose services helped to shape the revenue collection agency.

This was done at a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on Saturday, October 27, 2018. The event formed part of a week of activities which was observed under the theme, “60 Years of Dedicated Service, Innovation and Advancement.”

SUGAR MAS 47 SLOGAN COMPETITION WINNER!

 

Friday 26th October, 2018 (St. Kitts & Nevis) The St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC), under the leadership of the Hon. Shawn Richards, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture et al, selects its slogan annually through a competition for citizens of the Federation. This year, the Sugar Mas 47 Slogan Competition ended on Monday 15th October giving participants over two weeks for their submissions. As part of the criteria, the Slogan must include the year of the Sugar Mas that we are celebrating and must be clean; without sacrilege. As such, over twenty (20) impressive entries were submitted where anyone could have emerged the winner.

ECCB SAYS COST OF LIVING DOWN IN ST. KITTS AND NEVIS

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, October 28, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The cost of living in St. Kitts and Nevis fell by 1.3 percent on an end of period basis during the first six months of 2018. That’s according to the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) in its June 2018 Economic and Financial Review for St. Kitts and Nevis.
