Breaking News!!!!Gun shot exchange between wanted suspect and police & military force in Sandy Point.

 

Update: An official police report will follow in due time.

At the moment Buckie Got It have confirmed that someone was killed and an Officer injured during a shooting incident in Sandy Point. The Officer is in a stable condition at the JNF Hospital.

PRIME MINISTER HARRIS NOT CONVINCED OF OPPOSITION’S SINCERITY FOR NATIONAL DIALOGUE ON CRIME

 

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, August 31, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris stated clearly on Thursday (August 30) that he is open to having productive dialogue with members of the Opposition on the issue of addressing crime and violence in the country, as long as those calls for discussions are genuine.

“We would really want him [Dr. Denzil Douglas], as we would want all entities, every individual to be committed honestly to help get the country on track on the matter of law and order,” Prime Minister Harris said, while addressing a question posed at his press conference.

Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris extends his heartfelt condolences, and those of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis, to the family and loved ones of Mr. Clement David Obadiah Williams, who is affectionately known as Bouncin.  Mr. Bouncin Williams has died at the age of 70 years old.

“Bouncin possessed inventive and multifaceted talent that made him excel in a number of arenas, including acting, writing, teaching mathematics and natural sciences, as well as directing and producing community theatre,” Prime Minister Harris said today, Friday, August 31st, 2018.

At his monthly press conference on Thursday (August 30), Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris cited the extended calendar of events and the wave of national spirit that grips the twin-island Federation around this time period as Independence Day is commemorated annually on September 19. He strongly encouraged residents to participate fully in as many activities as possible, noting that “there is an event for everyone.”
