POLICE AND COAST GUARD SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 24, 2018 (RSCNPF):
A search operation has been launched for a man feared missing at sea.

The St. Kitts-Nevis Coast Guard conducted searches at sea, while members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force conducted searches on land. At about 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, Police received a report that 71-year-old Curiel Robinson of Charlestown had gone swimming and did not return. Preliminary investigations have revealed that at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Robinson met with another person. Robinson, enquiries revealed, swam from Fort Charles heading towards Jessups, while the other person walked to the same area. The last place Curiel Robinson was seen was somewhere off the Charlestown Pier. At the time of this report, he had not been heard from.

The Police spoke with a number of persons in the area, but are still urging persons who might have seen something or know anything regarding this incident to contact the Charlestown Police Station at 469-5391/5392. Additional search operations by the Police and Coast Guard are scheduled for Friday, August 24.

Sylvers unleash terror on Champions Lodge in Constituency Seven Domino league

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, August 24, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Champions Lodge Domino Club suffered a second defeat, on Thursday August 23, in this year’s edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition at the hands of Sylvers Domino Club.

What is unsettling for the defending champions, who lost to Beers Domino Club exactly a week earlier on Thursday August 16, is that both the losses have been at their home base – the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project. While Beers had merely squeezed a narrow 13-12 win over the champions, Sylvers on Thursday August 23 beat them squarely – 13-9.
