REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

 Basseterre, St. Kitts, June, 10 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period June 03-08, 2018.

 ARRESTS AND BAIL:

 Arrested: Theodore Williams of McKnight was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Larceny and Escaping Lawful Custody.

Arrested: James Hamm of Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Malicious Damage and being found in a private enclosed premises.

Arrested: Clovis Pemberton of Boyds Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for two (2) Counts of Forgery of St. Kitts and Nevis Driver’s Licence.

 Arrested: Antonio Castro of Happy Hill, Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 05, 2018.

 COURT CONVICTIONS:

 In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, which was presided over by His Honour Reynold Benjamin, the following was reported:

 – Julian Carty of Lower Monkey Hill pleaded guilty to the offence of Possession of Cannabis and was ordered to pay $1,000 within one (1) month or, in default, serve three (3) months imprisonment.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 10, 2018 – The “Anguilla’s Battle for Freedom 1967 – 1969” co-authored by Anguillians Colville L. Petty and A. Nat Hodge, a former Editor of the Democrat Newspaper is dedicated to the heroes and heroines of the Anguilla Revolution, is an offshoot of Anguilla’s Battle for Freedom 1967, which was published in 1987 in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Anguilla Revolution.

Thieves raid two small businesses on Nevis

Charlestown, Nevis, June 9, 2018 – Two small businesses in Nevis were targeted overnight and their owners were counting their losses Saturday.
Thieves broke into Rodney’s Cuisine at Stoney Grove and stole all the top shelf liquors from the bar and two large bags of frozen fish from the freezer.
Pabbies Shop at Fountain was reportedly cleaned out.
