PM Harris and Foreign Minister Brantley still silent on St. Kitts and Nevis’ absence from UN vote

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 9, 2018 – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mark Brantley remain tight-lipped over the absence of St. Kitts and Nevis on the non-binding United Nations resolution that called upon all states to refrain from the establishment of diplomatic missions in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Lucia were the only two Caribbean nations absent from their seats when the vote was taken.

No one taken to court for torching the Venezuelan Embassy and OAS Secretariat

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 9, 2018 – Four years after the Embassy of Venezuela was gutted by fire and a failed attempt to burn down the Organization of American States (OAS) Secretariat in St. Kitts on January 5 2014, no one has been brought to justice, although two persons  charged in connection with the embassy fire have been released.

In a statement on January 23, 2014, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force said one male of Phillips’ Village and formerly of Lodge Project, had been formally arrested and charged in connection with the fire which consumed the building that housed the Venezuelan Embassy.

PM Harris slammed for hiding information on the St. Kitts Hurricane Relief Fund

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 9th 2018 – Another indication that promises made by St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris remain unfulfilled.

Nearly four months after announcing the introduction of the Hurricane Relief Fund as part of a new option in the St. Kitts and Nevis’ Citizenship by Investment Programme, the country does not know how much of the EC$150 million has been raised to date.
