ARREST AND BAIL:

Arrested: Kelroy Hazel of St. Johnston Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply which was committed on the Monday 10th July 2017 at St. Johnston Village.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 13, 2017(RSCNPF) The High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is making an appeal to citizens to report persons seen tampering with or vandalizing components of the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System being currently installed in several areas throughout the Federation.

Sorry state of health in St. Kitts as Team Unity Government breaches constitution

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 13^th 2017 – Former Minister of Health, Hon. Marcella Liburd has accused the Team Unity Government of Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris of breaching the nation’s constitution with several vacancies in the Ministry of Health.

Section 61 of the St. Kitts and Nevis Constitution states: “every department of the Government shall be under the supervision of a permanent secretary whose office shall be a public office.”

Ms. Liburd points out that although there are two ministers of health, Hon. Eugene Hamilton and Junior Minister of Health, Sen. Hon. Wendy Phipps, there has been no permanent secretary performing duties for several months.

Memorial Service for Poesy Southwell on Sunday in New Jersey; One tentatively planned for St. Kitts early August

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 13^TH 2017 – A memorial service for the late Poesy Southwell, a son of National Hero, the Rt. Excellent Sir. C. A. Paul Southwell, will be held in St. Kitts in early August, a family spokesman said.

Rustum Southwell, a brother of Poesy said a memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at VFW Bogota, New Jersey from 12:00 – 4:00pm,

Poesy died peacefully at the age of 73 on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 6:15pm at the CareOne Teaneck nursing facility after an extended illness.
