PM Harris deports Fortune to St. Maarten
PHILIPSBURG/BASSETERRE, AUGUST 5TH 2017 – The St. Maarten Daily Herald newspaper is reporting that the Grenadian national who escaped from St. Maarten’s prison last year and arrested in St. Kitts last month has been deported by St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris.

ST. KITTS- NEVIS NATIONAL CARNIVAL SWIMSUIT QUEEN PAGEANT CONTESTANTS’ REVEALED
Friday 4th August, 2017 (St. Kitts & Nevis) – Six (6) electric young ladies will be competing in this year’s National Swimsuit Queen Pageant. The competition will be held on Wednesday 27th December at 7:00 pm, at the Sugar Mill, Warner Park Cricket Stadium. The Pageant, as customary, will be paired with the Mr. GQ Competition. Both competitions were introduced in 2015 for Sugar Mas 44.

PM Harris not telling the truth says Dr. Martin; the former CMO praised for his professionalism
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 3RD 2017 – Former Chief Medical Officer Dr. Patrick Martin is denying a statement from Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris that he has received compensation for his pre-retirement leave which was abruptly terminated recently.
Dr. Harris told WINNFM’s the Bigger Picture on Sunday: “Dr. Martin has no reasonable and rational expectation to anything other than to get the payment which was properly paid to him, and to me for him to as it were be trying to be making a political hay about this is highly irresponsible and unprofessional.”
But the prominent paediatrician in a statement Thursday said: “I wish to state categorically that to date, I have not received any monies that are due to me as a consequence of my retirement from the public service.”

Cutback on school uniforms, text books for low-income families
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 3RD 2017 – A cutback on the level of assistance to vulnerable groups by the Team Unity coalition of Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris, has created further hardship for low-income families.
Former Minister of Community and Social Development in the Denzil Douglas Labour Administration, Hon. Marcella Liburd has also accused Prime Minister Harris of openly displaying an uncaring attitude towards the wellbeing of the poor families.
