Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 3, 2018 – Three years after taking office, the Team Unity Government continues to deceive the people of St. Kitts and Nevis over the Basseterre High School (BHS) scandal.
“(Prime Minister) Dr. Timothy Harris and (Minister of Education) Shawn Richards promised to build a new high school immediately upon taking government. The students and teachers of the BHS have been languishing for over 3 years in an overcrowded wooden building without labs and other necessary facilities,” said Deputy Political Leader of the opposition St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP).

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 3, 2018 – Reading to the nation’s children was on the hectic agenda Wednesday of the Federation’s Second Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
 
No stranger to reading to the nation’s future leaders, Dr. Douglas accepted the invitation of the McKnight Day Care Centre to be a part of the 2018 Week of Activities.
 
The teachers and caregivers reached out to popular statesman for a Reading Day session and he had their rapt attention.
 
After thoroughly entertaining the young minds, Dr Douglas, the former prime minister, kindly penned some inspiring words into the book’s cover and presented it to the class.
