BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, August 19, 2020 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris has stated that much was considered and deliberated on over a two-week period before the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines was given the greenlight for safe harbour for two of its vessels – Rhapsody of the Seas and Vision of the Seas.

Fred Olsen Cruise Line Confirms St. Kitts For 2021/22 Caribbean Cruise Season

BASSETERRE (18th August, 2020): The UK-based Fred Olsen Cruiseline has announced St. Kitts as a port of call in there 2021/22 cruise itineraries.

The cruise operator is relaunching its Caribbean programme for next year when it will offer two types of itineraries: focusing on winter sunshine and the history/culture of destinations.

“Safe Harbour” for Two Royal Caribbean Vessels

BASSETERRE (17th August, 2020): The Government of St. Kitts-Nevis has given permission for two vessels from the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line to “Safe Harbour” in St. Kitts, with strict adherence to all of the laws and regulations that govern the Federation, including the SRO’s issued under the State of Emergency, and will be carried out under the NEOC’s “Sterile Port Protocol” which is part of the International Health Regulations, issued by the World Health Organization.

The Antigua and Barbuda High Court today blocked a class action suit filed by a senior Barbadian pilot against his employer LIAT (1974) in a ruling that some lawyers warn could have serious implications for anyone flying on the airline.
