PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) – Haiti’s government on Thursday declared a state of emergency over the coronavirus outbreak, closing the borders of the Americas’ poorest nation and imposing a curfew after authorities detected the first two cases of infection.

Curfew imposed in the Bahamas to prevent COVID-19 transmission

From March 20, a curfew will be imposed in the Bahamas as authorities seek to reduce opportunities for coronavirus (COVID-19) transmissions.

Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis announced the curfew on Thursday saying it will run from 9 pm to 5 am until March 31.
