MINISTRY OF HEALTH IN ST.KITTS-NEVIS RECEIVES MEDICAL SUPPLIES FROM PAHO FOUNDATION

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 13, 2018 (SKNIS): The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has partnered with the Ministry of Health in St. Kitts and Nevis in giving the ministry a substantial donation of medical supplies facilitated by a Kittitian and PAHO Foundation Partnership and Development Consultant, Ms. Minerva Saddler.

At a brief handing over ceremony held at the JNF General Hospital on March 13, Minister of State with responsibility for Health, the Honourable Wendy Phipps, expressed her appreciation for the tremendous donation made by the PAHO Foundation through the hard work of the Ministry of Health and Ms. Saddler as a result of a request for support after the 2017 Hurricane Season where supplies were distributed throughout the community as part of relief efforts.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 14, 2018 – Three people injected with an unauthorized herpes vaccine by a Southern Illinois University researcher in St. Kitts and Nevis and the United States have filed suit against his US-based company, demanding compensation for alleged adverse side effects from the experiments.

“What About Our Health?”- Constituents To Hamilton

Hon. Eugene Hamilton has come under fire from his constituents who are strongly of the view that their elected representative is proving to be nothing more than a dust-catching ornament in the PAM/CCM/PLP government.
Residents of constituency number eight and more so, those of the Cayon area, are furious with Hamilton following the recent ground-breaking ceremony of a major health center in Tabernacle.
This, constituents expressed, is seen as a major disrespect because Hamilton serves as the senior Minister of Health and persons are now noting the vast difference in life in Cayon as opposed to in Tabernacle.

At a recent Town Hall meeting in Molineux and on previous talk shows hosted by a government minister, a citizen expressed concern that the lack of an adequate ambulance service at the hospitals and fire services.
