The Nutrition Surveillance Program, along with the Breastfeeding Committee, annually honours 17 mothers from St. Kitts and Nevis—one from each health center —for their dedication to breastfeeding. Most of these mothers have achieved six months of exclusive breastfeeding. In previous years, up to 90% of the recipients reached this milestone. This year, all 17 mothers from each health center in St. Kitts and Nevis successfully completed six months of exclusive breastfeeding, and we honored them with a plaque.

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, July 22, 2024 (SKNIS): The Ministry of Health in St. Kitts, in collaboration with the Taiwan-based Overseas Engineering and Construction Company (OECC), is hosting a pivotal Hospital Planning Session this week for the development of the new J. N. France General Hospital. The week-long sessions aim to ensure the delivery of an optimal healthcare facility for the citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis.
