Six (6) charges in total have been laid against Treval Hodge of Haynes Smith Village, St. Kitts, by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and His Majesty’s

LEROY BOONE SENTENCED FOR INDECENT ASSAULT


Leroy Boone of Nevis has been sentenced to serve four (4) years in His Majesty’s the crime of Indecent Assault. Additionally, Mr Boone was ordered to the victim in the sum of One Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fifty ($1,750.00) Eastern Caribbean dollars. This is to be paid on or before April 30
th, 2025.

TWO CHARGED FOR FORENSIC LAB BREAKING


Inon Nias and Vernon Nias, Jr., both of Greenlands, St. Kitts, have been charged for the offence of Building Breaking with Intent. The criminal offence was committed on October 2nd, 2023, at the Tabernacle Forensic Lab. Both men were charged at the Basseterre Police Station with Vernon Nias Jr. being charged on December 18th 2024, and Inon Nias being charged on December 19th, 2024.

WALTER BASS SENTENCED FOR INDECENT ASSAULT

Walter Bass of Gillard’s Meadows, St. Peters, St. Kitts, has been sentenced to serve eighteen (18) months in His Majesty’s Prison for the offense of Indecent Assault. The offence was committed on May 25th, 2019. Mr Bass will become eligible for early release upon serving a third of his sentence with good behaviour. Time on remand will also be counted toward his sentence.

BRENT EDWARDS SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR NEVIS HIT-AND-RUN


On December 13th , 2024, at the Charlestown High Court, His Lordship Justice Patrick Thompson, Jr. sentenced Brent Edwards of Rawlins, Nevis, to serve three (3) years and six (6) months in His Majesty’s Prison. Mr Edwards pleaded guilty to his charges of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving and Failing to Immediately Stop at the Scene of an
Accident. The charges stem from a hit-and-run accident that occurred in New River, Nevis, on July 15th , 2023, which left eighty (80)-year-old Florence Ella Merchant of Zion, Nevis, severely injured. She succumbed to her injuries on July 17th
, 2023.
