Koffee has become the first solo female to cop the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album at the 62nd ceremony for the coveted music awards. 

Koffee, 19, took home the Grammy for her debut album,Rapture

On accepting the award, she thanked her fellow nominees for their contributions to reggae and declared her win a victory for reggae and Jamaica.

Other nominees for the Reggae Album of the Year were:

The awards are now being presented at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Situation Summary

CDC is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus (termed “2019-nCoV”) that was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China and which continues to expand. Chinese health officials have reported more than a thousand infections with 2019-nCoV in China, including outside of Hubei Province. Infections with 2019-nCoV also are being reported in a growing number of international locations, including the United States, where 5 cases in travelers from Wuhan have been confirmed in four states (AZ, CA, IL, WA) as of January 26, 2020.

Kobe Bryant Dies in Helicopter Crash: Report

Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday morning, TMZ reports.

The former basketball player and NBA star was 41 years old. 

According to TMZ, Bryant “was traveling with at least three other people in his private helicopter when it went down.” Nobody on the flight survived. 

His wife, Vanessa Laine Bryant, was reportedly not on board.
