TABERNACLE AND STAPLETON POLICE SOCIALISE WITH AREA RESIDENTS

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 31, 2019 (RSCNPF): Officers from the Tabernacle and Stapleton Police Stations interacted with members of their respective communities at recently held social gatherings.

Both events are organised annually and are meant to bring the Police closer to the residents of the communities they serve. The socials took place on the grounds of the Stations. Residents were treated to lots of food, drinks, music and dominos, and many were seen dancing and having a good time.

AIR TRAVELLERS ENCOURAGED TO ADHERE TO SECURITY AND SAFETY PROCEDURES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 31, 2019 (SKNIS): Persons travelling via air are encouraged to always adhere to security and safety procedures to ensure hassle-free travel, said Royston Griffin, Senior Civil Aviation Officer within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aviation.

One such procedure is the 3-1-1 liquid rule which states that each passenger must carry liquids, gels and aerosols in travel-size containers that are 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters. Each passenger is limited to one quart-size bag of liquids, gels and aerosols. Common travel items that must comply with the 3-1-1 liquids rule include toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, lotion and perfume.

Deception between lovers can do a lot of damage once discovered. A man identified as Ombaso is struggling to come to terms with the bitter betrayal he received from his wife of 10 years. According to the embittered husband and father, he and his first wife were involved in a tussle forcing his partner to go back to her mother’s home. He had afterwards received a call from his wife’s mother and what she revealed left him in a state of complete shock and disbelief. It turned out that his mother-in-law decided to let him know all the five kids he had raised throughout his marriage did not belong to him. Ombaso raised them as his own. Speaking to Radio Jambo on Tuesday, January 22, Ombaso revealed that he tried his best to win back the love of his life in vain. “You know after we had an argument, my wife left and went to her mother’s house. Her mum then called to inform me none of our five kids was mine. He further said he conducted a DNA test just to be sure and his fears were confirmed, he was not the father.

LEGISLATION COMING TO REGULATE DRONE OPERATIONS IN ST. KITTS-NEVIS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 30, 2019 (SKNIS): It is now common to see drones buzzing across the Federation’s skies freely taking pictures and videos. However, according to Royston Griffin, Senior Civil Aviation Officer, who appeared on the radio-television programme “Working for You” on January 30, legislation will soon be put in place to regulate the operations of the unmanned aircrafts, which can pose risks to privacy, safety and security.
