OFFICERS IN THE TACTICAL UNIT BENEFIT FROM SPECIALISED TRAINING AT TRADEWINDS
Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 18, 2018 (RSCNPF): Some twenty-two (22) Police Officers from the Tactical Unit in the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are now better trained to execute their duties.
They were privileged to have participated in Phase one of the recently concluded Tradewinds training exercise that was held in St. Kitts and Nevis. The exercise was facilitated and sponsored by the United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). The Police Officers joined their counterparts from the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force to train alongside other defence and security partners from 20 partner nations.

Prime Minister Harris attends special Father’s Day service – salutes all father figures
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, June 18, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris on Sunday June 17, the day celebrated internationally as Father’s Day, joined scores of worshippers at the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Molineux where a special service was held to honour fathers.
Welcoming the Prime Minister, who is also the local area Parliamentary Representative, was the Rev Ericsson Cumberbatch who is the local pastor, while the thought-provoking sermon on fatherhood was delivered by Rev Spencer Watts, District Superintendent for the Wesleyan Holiness Church in the St. Kitts and Nevis District.

Manufacturing output in St. Kitts and Nevis decline six percent in 2017, says ECCB
Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 17, 2018 – The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) is reporting a six percent decline in manufacturing in St. Kitts and Nevis for 2017.
According to the bank’s Annual Economic and Financial Review for 2017, the St. Kitts and Nevis economy decelerated to 1.7 in 2017 compared to 2.2 percent in 2016, 3.9 in 2015, 6.0 in 2014 and 6.2 in 2013.
According to the ECCB, manufacturing output is estimated to have declined by 6.5 percent, evidenced by a 17.1 percent decrease in the export of alcoholic beverages. The Report gave no additional information.
Carib Brewery (St. Kitts and Nevis) in 2016 also reported a 37 percent decline in export sales.
The 2016 Report highlights that Carib Brewery produced 884,730 total sales cases in 2016 compared to 979,161 cases in 2015 and 991,046 cases in 2014.
