Person in custody for questioning in Guyanese death

Charlestown, Nevis, May 11, 2018 – A person is assisting police in their investigations following the death of a Guyanese woman whose body was discovered Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the Charlestown Police Station received a report from the Medical Services after they responded to an emergency call and found 34-year-old Petronella Hinds of Cane Garden dead.

NHC BREAKS GROUND IN TAOYUAN HEIGHTS, CHALLENGERS

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 11th, 2018 – The National Housing Corporation (NHC), broke ground in Taoyuan Heights, Challengers to afford the residents of the village another opportunity to acquire their own homes.

During a brief but significant presentation at the grounds of Taoyuan Heights, the Hon. Lindsay Grant expressed his satisfaction in the commencement of construction in his constituency.  “I am extremely delighted to be here in Challengers today. This has been long and coming and I know that the people of Challengers and the neighboring communities are happy. It was my campaign promise that the people of Challengers will get a new development and I must live up to that commitment,” he said.

Jamaica’s Most Wanted Nabbed in Antigua

Fitzroy Andre Coore of Jamaica, who was caught at V.C. Bird International Airport today, is wanted for crimes at home.

One of Jamaica’s most wanted fugitives was nabbed in Antigua at V.C Bird International Airport on Friday.

Twenty-three year old Fitzroy Andre Coore was apprehended during a joint operation between Police and Immigration officials at the airport on Friday. He had just disembarked Liat flight #317 from St. Kitts, where he was hiding out over a period of time.

The Clarendon born resident is wanted for murders he allegedly committed in his hometown. A Grays Farm woman was also taken into custody by police and is assisting them with their investigation into the matter.

Both Police and Immigration officials are currently making arrangements to have the wanted fugitive escorted out of the country and handed over to Jamaican authorities some time next week.
