Peoples Labour Party holds largest Political Convention in History Prime Minister Harris delivers address to Convention

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, March 25, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — The Peoples Labour Party showed its impressive growth and strength when on Saturday March 24 it hosted its second Annual National Convention, drawing a large turnout of nearly 700 participants under the huge tent at the Patsy Allers Recreational Ground in West Basseterre.

Thousands more watched the event live via social media, and others followed it via live broadcasting streams carried by local radio stations.

Pastor Hazell tells church to learn from Team Unity; praises politicians for uniting

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, March 26, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — The church is experiencing a phenomenon where it is dividing with new churches coming up, and Senior Pastor Lincoln Hazell of the Apostolic Faith Mission Church is appealing to the body to borrow a leaf from the Team Unity Government.

“Today I always tell the church, learn from Team Unity,” said Pastor Hazell. “If we work together we can get a lot of things done. You see, the politicians are uniting – the church is dividing.” He observed that anybody who wants a church and who wants to be a pastor they break away and set up a new church.

Douglas Wattley says he will welcome law suit to resolve allegations of unaccounted PLP campaign funds

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 26, 2018 – Douglas Wattley, former chairman of Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris’ Peoples Labour Party (PLP) has confirmed he has received a letter from a lawyer threatening legal action in relation to allegations of unaccounted campaign funds, he (Wattley) has been attempting to resolve.

“I said please go ahead for I want the matter straightened out as well. I had been charged with the responsibility of doing an investigation as the chairman,” said Douglas Wattley, who along with several founding and executive members were unceremoniously ousted from the PLP in March 2017.

“I no longer support the Peoples Labour Party as presented to the people. I intend in the next election to support Dr. Terrance Drew, the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) candidate,” said Wattley.

Why is Richard Caines silent on Timothy Harris’ sale of hundreds of acres of land to foreigners?

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 26, 2018 – There is deafening silence and glaring hypocrisy from local businessman and former junior minister of finance, Richard Caines, to the sale of over 600 acres of land by Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris ‘to people who don’t belong to here.’

Mr. Caines, then a member of Operation Rescue, was one of a two-man demonstration outside Government Headquarters on October 31^st 2012, against the land for debt swap. The other person demonstrating with Mr. Caines was Mr. Washington Archibald who died in June 2017.
